For many people, their identity and their hair are closely intertwined. Unfortunately, as a result of genetics and other factors, many people begin to lose their hair long before they are ready to do so. Genetics, hormonal changes, medical conditions, trauma and stress can all lead to hair loss. For patients who have unsuccessfully undergone other treatments, hair transplant is an excellent available option. Hair transplant addresses hair loss by transplanting hair follicles from one part of the body (donor site) to a bald or balding part of the body (recipient site). We preferred technique for hair transplantation is Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).  Follicular Unit Extraction extracts hairs from the donor site one by one, leaving tiny pin-point size wounds that do not require staples or stitches to close, making the procedure virtually scarless. As a result, Dr. Devgan prefers FUE hair transplantation over other techniques such as the “strip method”, which often leaves patients with long, linear, unsightly scars, on the back of their heads.
